Jackett is a single repository of maintained indexer scraping & translation logic - removing the burden from other apps. This allows for getting recent uploads (like RSS) and performing searches. Jackett works as a proxy server: it translates queries from apps (Sonarr, Radarr, SickRage, CouchPotato, Mylar, etc) into tracker-site-specific HTTP queries, parses the html response, then sends results back to the requesting software. Jackett makes it very easy to allow Sonarr/Radarr find quality torrents from a number of popular torrent indexer sites (as of writing this article 259 are available). Sonarr on the other hand only finds 50% of my TV shows (Plex and Radarr finds 100%). I have had no problems with Plex or Radarr finding ALL my files.
